I first started skiing at Cairngorm age 2, I then spent much of my younger life ski racing on the dry matt at Bearden . I tried snowboarding when I was 18. I was rubbish. Mainly because I was self taught initially. It made me really appreciate how important lessons are; for safely and for skill! Lessons also help you progress faster, so it took me a long time to get the hang of snowboarding, but I persevered and completed BASI level 1 qualification.
I totally love snowboarding and teaching and I’m currently working towards my ISIA qualification.
I’ve done 3 seasons, 2 in France (Meribel and Ste Foy) and one in New Zealand. I’ve also done a fair few seasons in Scotland! Scotland is the best place to shred!
My hybrid snowboard boots. 32 inners and Burton outers. I’ve had the inners for almost 8 years. Nice 😉
Cairngorm, because it is home, and nothing beats a Scottish shred and Ste Foy in France, because it is quiet with amazing off piste.
Moussaka!! My mum used to make me eat it as a kid.
