What will my class learn?

Levels 1-3 are our introductory levels and make a great follow on from any ice climbing taster session. These levels are also tailored to those with no climbing experience. They will take you to a level of climbing competence suitable to climb at any indoor climbing wall. Levels 1 – 3 are available at Snow Factor, Braehead and Ice Factor, Kinlochleven.

This activity is great for teens aged 12 and above with a minimum shoe size 4.

Supporting Curriculum for Excellence

Outdoor education sessions are a brilliant way to help children / young people achieve the experiences and outcomes identified through Curriculum for Excellence.

We have structured our active learning sessions to:

  • Allow pupils to develop new skills, experience personal achievement and build resilience and confidence.
  • Develop skills for life long learning and work
  • Promote cross curricular links in areas such as health and well being
  • Engage pupils who have a more kinaesthetic or visual learning style
