5 Star - Design my Night

“Bar Varia couldn’t call itself a real bier halle without a mighty stock of brews. The bar boasts some 40+ bottles from Germany, Scotland, and around the world, as well as an ever-changing collection of drafts by the stein. If you’re not a beer drinker, the bar also serves a generous selection of wines and cocktails - try the Apple Strudel Martini. The kitchen at Bar Varia serves up hearty winter-warmers, with currywurst, goulash, and Bar Varia’s Legendary Sausage Supper, among the native highlights.”

Runner Up Best Bar Scotland

“Perhaps begin your Bavarian feast with goulash, featuring chunks of beef and veg in a paprika and garlic broth. Then tuck into black pepper and venison sausages with chive mash and homemade gravy, or homemade caramelised red onion and goat’s cheese tartlet. Alternatively, plump for one of their burgers – the flame-grilled Aberdeen Angus is a favourite. Those after a light lunch can order panini filled with the likes of bacon and Brie and grilled chorizo and Cheddar, or a freshly prepared salad. The bar offers a wealth of beverages, including a must-sample selection of German beers. Bar Varia is a great choice for parties and family occasions, but is equally ideal for those simply looking to enjoy a taste of Bavaria before donning their skis.”
